Members of the Merced City Council originally wanted a "farmers market" for the Merced community. They rented this property from the Merced County Fair and in the 1980's a market was born!
Some 30 years later it is a thriving flea AND farmers market with over 200 vendors selling their wares and over 4,000 shoppers visiting each week. The flea market is no longer operated by the city but by a local family who leases the property from the Fair.
There is no charge for the ample parking conveniently located in front of the market.
Admission is $1.00 and children 10 & under are free.
We are open every Saturday, rain or shine, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Our spaces range in size from 14' x 16' under a roof to 20' x 30' outside.
Spaces are available to rent on a first come first served basis starting at 5am and ending at 8am on the day of the market. The price for a standard space is $34. We also have permanent “reserved” spaces available. Visit the flea market office for more information.
We open our gates to vendors at 5am. Vendors with permanent “reserved” spaces must be in their space by 7am. After 7am any unoccupied spaces are available for day vendors to rent. There is no driving inside the market between 8am & 2pm. Vendor vehicles may not exit the market until after 2pm and are required to be out of the market by 5:30 PM.
Permits required depend on product sold. Please stop by the flea market office for more information.
